The largest marijuana company in the country has opened its first recreational marijuana dispensary in Massachusetts.
Curaleaf this weekend began selling recreational marijuana at the same store where it already sells medical marijuana, at 425 Main St. in Oxford.
The Oxford store is selling to recreational customers by appointment only for the first 30 days.
The store will hold a grand opening Wednesday at 11 a.m. with former Boston Red Sox pitcher and cannabis advocate Bill “Spaceman” Lee.
The store is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Curaleaf has its corporate offices in Wakefield. It operates a medical dispensary in Hanover, and has applied for licenses to open recreational stores in Ware and Provincetown. It grows marijuana at a facility in Webster.
